Follow These Simple Steps:

1. Click the Get Started button
2. Login and personalize your fundraising page with your photo, appeal message, and your fundraising goal
3. Email your fundraising page to all of your friends, colleagues, and family to collect donations

By sending just two or three rounds of emails out to everyone you know, you are virtually guaranteed to receive online donations to your personal page and inch closer to your personal fundraising goal.  Also, see if your friends want to start their own fundraising page!

 In Just 20 minutes —   

1. Start by visiting               www.firstgiving.com/camphappydays
2. Near the top of the page, click on

4. Next, enter your email address in the empty box:

2. Next, fill out the information under     Welcome! Please enter your account details
3. Next, click on
4. Next, enter your first and last name in the blank space, without leaving a space between your first and last name

Choose a web address for your new fundraising page

3. Once you arrive at your page, you will see there are a few ways to make it your own.

• You can add any picture from Camp you want by clicking on this image…

Note: we can send a picture from Camp if you would like

• You can add a special caption under the picture

• You can set the amount you want to raise

• And finally, you can enter your personal message:

• Once you’ve completed editing/creating your page, at the top of the page click on

• You will then see the web link (www.firstgiving.com/[yourname]) that you will cut and paste into the email message you will be sending to your friends, family and co-workers…people who you think would be willing to make a donation, in any amount—as little as $5, as much as $5000. No amount is too small.

• The goal is to send an email to as many people as you can, attaching the link that will send them to your Camp Happy Days donation web site, which will always be www.firstgiving.com/your firstnamelastname.     And when your friends, family, neighbors or co-workers visit the your donation page, all they need to do is click on    . . . and the rest is history. Once they enter their donation using a credit card, they will receive an automatic thank you note, as well as an email for them to use for tax purposes. As their donation is tax deductible—as little as $5, as much as $5000. No amount is too small.

ADDING A PICTURE TO YOUR PAGE

You may already have pictures on your computer that you’ve taken yourself at Camp. Or, you may want to choose from the almost 500 other pictures taken by Slingshot that are posted online. If you wish to access these, visit:

HOW TO ADD A PICTURE TO YOUR PAGE—  Once you’ve entered your site (to type your message, enter your fundraising target amount, insert a picture, etc.) you will see four tabs at the top of the page, just underneath the Camp Happy Days logo. The four tabs are:

• Your account home
• Your fundraising pages
• Your donations
• Your details

TO INSERT YOUR FAVORITE PICTURE—

>Double Click on the “Your fundraising pages” tab

>You will see several options to click on (highlighted in blue text)

>Double Click on “Do some basic page editing”

>In the upper left hand corner of your page you will see a box where pictures can be inserted

>Click on “Change this image”

>The rest of the process is a matter of finding the picture stored on your computer that you want, insert it and you are done.  J

ADDING THE CAMP VIDEO TO YOUR PAGE

To provide even more inspiration for the visitors to your site to consider donating, consider linking the Camp video. Full of music, interviews and images, it tells the amazing story of Camp.

TO INSERT THE CAMP VIDEO—

>Double Click on the “Your fundraising pages” tab

>You will see several options to click on (highlighted in blue text)

>Double Click on “Add video from YouTube”

>A new screen will pop up. Cut and paste the following web site link into the box “Web Address of YouTube Video”
