Beat The Pro Golf Challenge
June 6th, 13th, 20th, 28th
July 11th, 18th, 25th
The Palmetto Ford Beat The Pro Golf Challenge is a charity drive with proceeds going to Camp Happy Days. Since 1982, over 1,500 children have taken part in Camp Happy Days comprehensive programs and 278 families have benefited from their family assistance programs. It is through great guidance and leadership from professionals, each partnership with hospitals across South Carolina, and other cancer organizations help these programs stand above. From programs that offer respite from a child's day-to-day worries of cancer to those that strengthen family bonds and provide financial support, each program is designed to help improve the emotional, physical, and psychological health of children and families affected by pediatric cancer.
How It Works:
Each week for the 8-week campaign, a selected area golf course pro will make one shot on a pre-determined hole. The result of his shot (how close he was to the hole) will be posted on the Palmetto Ford Beat The Pro Golf Challenge landing page, inviting area golfers to beat the pro on that Friday between the hours of Noon and 4PM.
Area golfers must purchase at least one round of golf from the pre-determined golf course in order to be eligible to try to beat the pro.
When the golfer approaches the hole the pro had formerly made his shot, that golfer must donate a minimum of $10 to attempt to try to beat the pro. All money collected from area golfers will be donated to Camp Happy Days.
The winner of the shoot-out will be featured on the FOX 24 Beat The Pro Golf Challenge landing page and will receive either a free round of golf from the featured golf course, or a gift certificate to the featured golf course pro shop.
