Camp Happy Days is proud to invite you to take part in an experience unlike any you have encountered before; a chance to give children with cancer and their siblings the most exciting, magical, and fun-filled week of their lives.Camp Happy Days is a week-long residential summer camp for children with cancer and their siblings designed to offer more heart-pounding, head-spinning fun than a child could ever imagine.
With parasailing, horseback riding, arts and crafts, fishing, boating, and more; it’s a chance to escape the day-to-day worries of cancer, treatments, and hospitals and enjoy just being a kid.It’s also an opportunity for these children to meet and bond with others who know what its like to have cancer, lose their hair or have scars or missing limbs.It’s a chance for them to learn that no matter how different they feel, they are not alone in their fight.
We strive to provide incredible and amazing opportunities which will help these children learn confidence, overcome fears and create bonds with others that will last far beyond camp.Our goal is to provide hope, self-esteem and the will to fight one more round.
By volunteering and sharing your time, you can help us take the seeds of their dreams, plant them and harvest the reality of their imaginations. We hope you will choose to be part of the hope, wonder, and magic that Camp Happy Days offers these incredible children.You must be 20 years of age or older to volunteer.Volunteers are needed to serve as counselors, assist in program areas, help with maintenance, assist with administrative tasks, and much more.
We anticipate a large number of applicants, so we encourage you to apply early.If you want to experience a week of fun and adventure while changing the lives of children with cancer, this is for you.Please complete the application under the volunteer forms tab and send the packet to the Camp Happy Days Office.All volunteers who are new, out-of-state, or skipped camp last year are required to have a FBI fingerprint background check completed.If you have any questions please contact Teresa Bishop at (843) 571-4336 ext. 28 or teresa@camphappydays.com.
